An Energy Clearing at Yosemite Slough
On Saturday, February 19, 2005, under the auspices of Dowsers Doing
Good Deeds, seven dowsers got together to do a prayer service and energy
clearing of Yosemite Slough. This body of water connects to the San
Francisco Bay in southeast San Francisco and is located across from
Candlestick Park on Gilman Avenue.
The land upon which we stood was partially composed of tons of rubble
that had been dumped there from the devastating San Francisco earthquake
and fire of 1906. During World War II, a large military shipyard was
built along the slough. After years of negotiation, the Navy finally
handed the shipyard over to the City of San Francisco, leaving behind
multiple toxins which disturbed the flora and fauna of the area. In
addition to the military pollutants, several small industries dumped
chemicals and garbage into these waters. Organizations such as the Audubon
Society, Arc Ecology, and Green Action have taken Yosemite Slough under
their wing; but while wealthier areas of San Francisco that also had
suffered from military dumping have been cleaned and made safe, our
Yosemite Slough is located in the poorest area of the City and had largely
been ignored by government agencies. Recently the Military agreed to
an extensive cleanup of the area, and there are plans to restore a wetlands
habitat along the slough.
We fashioned our service after the water-cleansings done in Japan,
inspired by Masaru Emoto (author of Messages from Water). Whereas Mr.
Emoto has had Buddhist priests presiding over the rituals, our prayers
had more of an American-dowser flavor, and we also used an energy signature
to enhance and strengthen our prayers.
Above is the energy signature we found to be a shape that resonates
specifically to the ultimate good health and well-being of Yosemite
Slough: its waters, its flora and fauna, and its environs.
Tim made an energy-signature banner to place at the site of our prayers.
This banner works similarly to Tibetan prayer flags.
We began the session with a welcome to everyone who came, with an introduction
to the energy signature and an explanation of the order of service.
We started the prayers with the following:
We call to the guiding angels of Yosemite Slough and the spirits of
all living things who visit and live here. Thank you for joining us
as we come together in sending our love to Yosemite Slough. We ask you,
Dear God, Creator of All Things, to shine your loving light upon Yosemite
Slough, cleansing her, transforming all unhealthy elements into elements
of vibrant life, vitalizing her, and blessing her waters, her environs,
and all of her flora and fauna with ultimate good health and well-being.
Amen.
Then several members offered their own healing prayers, for Yosemite
Slough as well as for all the waters of the planet. We then took a couple
of minutes to chant Hu (pronounced like the word hue) to bring natural
balance to the slough and to accelerate her healing, followed by a silent
meditation as we all sent our individual messages of healing to the
slough.
Then, to keep the energies going infinitely, three of us had blessed
items to throw into the slough. Two had small healing buddhas, and Tim
had a natural granite rock which he had engraved with the energy signature,
as shown in the accompanying photograph,
We closed by giving our thanks to each other and to all the helping
angels and spirits of the land that joined us in the service.
On dowsing the energy levels of the site, we found that the slough
had no aura before the clearing process began. We are happy to say that
Yosemite Slough now glows with an all-encompassing, healthy aura.
I give special thanks to Adrian for his love of this land, for suggesting
this project, for finding the perfect spot for this session, as well
as for his consistent assistance over the several weeks it took to get
this project together; and to Tim for his significant efforts in creating
the splendid banner and carved rock which function even now to infuse
this precious habitat with Light and Love. My heart is warm with gratitude
for the following dowsers who gave their Saturday afternoon to this
project and who hiked through the muddy terrain to get to the site,
keeping their good cheer and good will shining brightly on this gray,
rainy day. We all agreed that being surrounded by water -- on the earth
and from above -- added to the healing of us all.
